Adult Prophylaxis

Preventive procedure that includes the removal of soft and calcified bacteria deposits scaling utilizing hand instrumentation as well as microultrasonics, and teeth polishing. A dental cleaning is recommended at least every 6 months to prevent disease. 

Scaling & Root Planning

a "Deep Cleaning"

Typically performed on patients with active periodontal disease, patients who have not had a cleaning in a long time and have deep periodontal pockets with disease, along with bone loss and attachment loss.

Fluoride Varnish Treatment

Recommended every visit for tooth/root remineralization and sensitivity. A treatment of fluoride is applied to remineralize tooth enamel, making tooth structure stronger against decay and sensitivity. 

Digital Dental Radiographs

Applied directly to infected periodontal pockets. Arestin is an antibiotic that targets and fights infection that causes disease. If you suspect of a localized pocket or gum infection, ask your hygienist. 

Periodontal Maintenance

Periodontal maintenance is recommended for patients who have had a history of periodontal disease. Patients with bone loss, attachment loss, bleeding gums or had periodontal surgery can benefit from having a hygienist maintain their periodontum as they are more vulnerable to malignant pathogens in the mouth

Silver Diamine Fluoride "SDF"

This is a great choice when patients want to arrest decay and use conservative dentistry without spending on long term restorations.

 SDF arrests and slows the progression of caries lesions without the removal of sound tissue. SDF also promotes remineralization of dentin and is FDA approved to treat hypersensitivity. 

Digital Dental Radiographs

Dental X-rays are necessary and a great diagnostic tool. they help diagnose potential problems that could go undetected leading to pain. X-rays also help find calculus hiding under the gums and therefore help us perform a more thorough dental cleaning.
